The ancient symbol of the spiral represents the flow of our lives and the cycle of nature. It points us inward while maintaining a fullness and richness in its deep movement. The flow of silver in my designs represents the inevitable dance our lives take on in our day-to-day activities. It reminds us of our higher, more creative connection.
My love for dance and flowing forms began long before I can even remember. Music and dance has been my main meditation all of my life. Within this meditation, I learned to incorporate visual art during my Fine Art studies at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Using raw materials, I hand-hammer and sculpt the silver to create my designs.
In 2008 we moved to Port Townsend, Washington, a thriving seaside artist community and home to many galleries and art festivals. Soon after moving here I opened up an Artists’ Collective with other local women artists - Vagabond Arts Wearable Art Gallery. We are located in the downtown area across from the historic Rose Theatre on Taylor St.
Come by see us when you visit Port Townsend!
. . .You dance inside my chest,
where no one sees you,
but sometimes I do,
and that sight becomes this art.
